I want to begin this review by saying that this mixtape shouldnt exist.

Carter V was supposed to be the last solo effort from Lil Wayne, but due to

drama with Cash money, we see a resurgence from the best rapper alive.

Yes, S4TW2 isn't as good as it could be. Yes, he doesn't body hot

instrumentals like he used to. But S4TW2 is far from terrible. I think it's safe

to even say that there is a little bit of hunger left from the rapper soon to

retire. Wayne shines on tracks like "Selsun Blue," "Trap House," and "No

Haters" when he zones out and just raps. He delivers exactly what he said he

would: just a little something to hold you off until The Carter V, so the

mixtape does its job. The lyrics vary from "Yes!" to "No." to "Wtf." to "I

guess..", and that is what ruins the project. What makes the tape crazy is

that it is essentially a diss record to Baby and Cash Money. Apart from his

usual commentary of drugs, money, and sex, he bashes Birdman indirectly

or directly on almost every song on the tape. Its a legendary piece of work,

but the lyrics and delivery are detrimental to the project being considered a

hip-hop classic.
