After getting dropped by Def Jam last year, Trinidad James did not give up,

and he would probably agree that Def Jam is regretting it more than he is

right now. No One Is $afe is Trinidad's best project, by a long shot. From the

first track to the last track, the listener is hooked. With guest features

from some of Atlanta's promising new talents (OG Maco, ILoveMakonnen, and

Offset), the record almost sounds like an Atlanta record. Even though the

feautures bring a lot to the project, it doesn't mean that Trinidad's imput is

weak. Dude has BARS that make you do the "Beach Is Better Face", bars that

make you laugh, and bars that make you realize you've been overlooking a

diamond in the rough. The mixtape strives though because it doesnt seek

radioplay. Almost every song is weird in a very cool, acceptable way. Trinidad

excels at experimentation, which means his longevity extends far beyond

"All Gold Everything. " The project's weakest points are when the

experimentation is minimal and James tries to really focus on raps. He is

simply not an amazing rapper. He makes up for that by proving he is an

amazing artist. Introspective lyrics, uplifting messages, fun

experimentations, and great beats make No One Is $afe the playlist to a good

day. The mixtape is album quality and a definite cop, regardless if you're a

Trinidad James fan.
