Cealc hythe or ‘a chalky landing place for boats’, has come a long
way from a Saxon village to an affluent riverside neighbourhood
called Chelsea; my favourite area of London. Although small, in fact
the tiniest borough in London and the second smallest district in
England, the sheer diversity and quality of its offerings is second to
none. If you’re a football fan your association is Chelsea Football
Club; a TV addict – it’s the set of ‘Made in Chelsea’, or indeed
green fingered – it’s the home of the Chelsea Flower Show, and yet
there is so much more to explore...
