Daylight saving time [DST], mostly pronounced
daylight savings time wrongly is the practice of
setting clocks forward in the summer. People
normally think Benjamin Fra nklin invented day light
saving time. He thought humans should enjoy the
daylight in the morning and not sleep and extra
hour. It is also used to conserve energy. The
Canadians were the first to use DST. Some people
think farmers invented it but that is a very big myth.
Daylight saving time is a time that we should use to
enjoy some fresh air.

Halloween. This is my favorite holiday because it is not only scary, but you also get candy.
There are “ghosts” everywhere. This is how my evening will go tonight (I can’t wait!).
Now, let’s get started. I will race to my neighbors and say “Trick’r Treat”.
They’ll ask, “Do you have any Halloween jokes?”
I’ll reply, “Yes, what do you do when there’s 50 zombies around you?”
They will stand there a few seconds deep in thought, then say, “I don’t know. Why?”
“Hope it’s Halloween!!!!!” I quickly fill them in. They will stand there laughing, tell me I
did a great job, and toss some candy into my orange plastic Halloween pumpkin dangling
from my right hand. This continues the entire night, telling riddles and collecting candy. I
love seeing all the neat costumes and the funny ones. The history behind it is that it is a
celebration, and it is also contains superstitions. Did you know that originally you had to
dance before you received anything? Many centuries ago, you would get an animal skin,
not candy!
The other thing that I love about Halloween are the spooky haunted houses. I love it
when things pop out and yell “BOO”. I try not to be scared, but deep down, it is scary.

must count your candy. 1,2,3….. 200. Whoo, I win.
Halloween is the best holiday of them all, don’t you agree?
