This hymn has always been my favorite . The story behind it is so tragic yet inspiring ! I haven ’ t experienced this type of tragedy in my life , yet I too can say “ it is well with my soul ” no matter what happens because “ Christ hath regarded my helpless estate , And hath shed His own blood for my soul .” I am so incredibly grateful !

I ’ m not sure I could pick a favorite hymn because there are just so many that I love , but this hymn is one of my favorites . My favorite part of the song is “ Morning by morning new mercies I see ; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided — ‘ Great is Thy faithfulness ,’ Lord , unto me !” Such an encouraging song that reminds us of the Lord ’ s never-ending faithfulness to His children ! ■
