by Crystal Schneider

The Ideal Renaissance Women comes in many shapes and forms. She is a character of many traits and its suitable in this day of age. These are a few examples of what the ladies would look like at this time. Sofonisba Anguissola is an example of a Renaissance Woman who contributes to the art world. She was born in Cremona, Italy and grew up with a well-rounded education. She had an apprenticeship with local painters and education for ladies at the time was common.

Titian's paintings come together to make this edgy and chic girl. She may look elegant like the other women but she is much more. She is ambitious and can't be tamed.

When you combine all of Raphael's looks, you end up with this lady. She chooses to hoist her hair into an updo and finishes the hairstyle with a simple braid on top. Her face is delicate and she spends her days ireading amongst a French banister. This type of girl is the one you would tie the knot with. She is kind and sweet but won't back down in what she believes in. Her lips are heart shaped and her features are rounded. Raphael encaptures the light aspect in her by adding pink pigments in her cheeks. Definitely a huge family person and her soft exterior matches her demeanor.

Botticelli's lady is like one born out of a fairytale. She was probably born from a lotus or something because she always has hints of nature in her. Probably a bohemian girl that weaves flower crowns to place upon her light hair. She loves the outdoors and wouldn't shy away from an adventure. Some might say that her sixth sense is adventure. She enjoys music and her ears are acquainted with the sounds that come from a harp.
