How they have changed sports?

The sports are the best form to impulse the competitiveness in competences, and help us to be in a good physical form, but how this idea change.

History

Olympics:

The history of the sports start in Chine in the year 40000 B.C, the Chinese athletes made competitions to demonstrate their capacities to the emperor of the ancient China, but the first organized events were the Olympic Games made for the first time in Greece, in the year 776 B.C. with the first Olympic Games of the history the ancient JJOO were develop in the city of Olympia and start with the Olympic flame, the myths describe us the history of Heracles who made the ancient JJOO in honor to Zeus “who latter help him to conquer Elis when Heracles went to the war” (IOC, 2016). In these sports there was only a winner, there’s not second or third place only the first place. In the year 339 A.C when the Emperor Tedosio I believed that the Olympics where part of a pagan culture.

In 1896 Pierre of Coubertin have the idea to made the modern Olympic games in an international demonstration, and with the help of Demetrious Vikelas and the Greek Government, create the first modern Olympic Games in the city of Athens, the principal events where the swimming and athletics competences, but there were more sports, like biking, fencing, tennis, fight, weightlifting, shot and gymnastics competences, these were the initial sports of the Olympics, the duration was of 9 days and U.S.A win in the medals table, in that epoch only men’s can participate.

Nowadays the Olympic Games are celebrating each 4 years in different countries, their duration is about 21 days and the competences that bring more medals are the athletics and swimming events. During 28 centuries the Olympics made fantastic events and with them there come important athletes, some famous athletes are Michael Phelps from USA, , Usaing Bolt from Jamaica, , Jesse Owens a symbol for the US athletes, Eliud Kipchoge from Kenya, Alexandr Karelin who win 4 Olympic Medals in Greco-Roman fight. And now we see the Colombian athletes, The Colombian delegation has 5 gold medals in all the JJOO history, these are the athletes Maria Isabel Urrutia a weightlifter, Mariana Pajon, Oscar Figueroa, Catherine Ibarguen the first medal for Colombia come in 1972, Hellmut Bellingrot win silver medal for Colombia
