Community Coordination

Dianna Gonzalez , CC , Macon Circuit
Community Coordinator Dianna Gonzalez of the Macon Circuit has worked to provide transportation and other benefits to multiple individuals under supervision .
Dianna was contacted by a counselor at the Macon Transitional Center in reference to an individual being scheduled for release as homeless . Proactively , Dianna submitted a RPH housing request a week prior to his release , and the individual was approved and accepted for RPH .
Ever since the individual was placed by RPH , Dianna has assisted him with several things : getting him approved for food stamps , ACA health insurance , and helping coordinate him getting a bike that was sponsored by the Macon / Bibb Sheriff ' s Department . The RPH provider accompanied him to pick up his bike .
Carol Chateau , CC , Douglas Circuit
Midway Community Resource Center in Douglasville provides free bread on Fridays and conducts a monthly mobile pantry . Along with informing those in need of the services offered by Midway , Community Coordinator for the Douglas Circuit , Carol Chateau , will also take bread and other items to the DCS office for distribution to those who are in need . State Representative Roger Bruce stopped by to assist with the distribution .
Chris Walker , CC , Coweta Circuit
Community Coordinator Chris Walker of the Coweta Circuit , entered into a partnership with the LaGrange Police Department to assist with the cost for preemployment drug screens . This has been an ongoing challenge in the area for employment with New Ventures Inc . The local police department will now be able to assist those individuals referred from the local DCS office with indigent funds . This is another example of community collaboration as this has cost previous individuals the opportunity for employment by not having the $ 10 for a drug screen .
