Every year, sports fans say they wish that the NFL Free Agency was more like the NBA Free Agency. In the NBA, there are trades constantly and big signings all over. In the NFL, trades very rarely happen, and big signings are relatively rare as most big name players just resign with their current team. This year, that all changed.

Weirdly enough, most of the big name free agents all went to the same division. Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was traded to the Broncos, and former Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams was traded to the Raiders. Daniel, a lifelong Packers fan, said “Trading away Davante Adams was very rough for me, but we did get a good return and we resigned Aaron Rodgers to a big contract so I am feeling okay.” Every team in that division got better in some way, and it is going to be a season for the ages seeing who comes out on top of the greatest division of all time. When asked about how good that division has become, Gene said “The AFC West is going to be a dogfight this year. I am very excited to see what happens.”

Plenty of other moves happened as well, like Tom Brady retiring and then unretiring. Three of the biggest contracts ever were given. Back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers was given the most guaranteed money ever, and then a week later, Deshaun Watson was traded and instantly given a new five-year, $230-million-dollar contract, by far the most guaranteed money ever. Davante Adams was handed the biggest non-quarterback contract. Players of all types of status in the league are in free agency. Making headlines were legendary players like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and edge rusher Von Miller, who went to Buffalo, and there were some rising stars such as cornerback JC Jackson, who went to the Chargers. When asked about the different types of players in this year’s free agency, Sam said, “This is the best free agency I have ever witnessed. It feels like every team made some move. Legends and rising stars in free agency. I am so ready for the season.”
