Namibia : PPS had members in the former South West Africa before its independence to become Namibia . Independence meant that the regulator required in 2002 that PPS in Namibia must have a local board . It was still managed with administrative support from South Africa . Over time , laws in the country required a Namibian insurance licence and a local CEO . The business is now a fully-fledged insurance company with some support still provided by South Africa . PPS Insurance Namibia ’ s members have their own bonuses and profit fund . It is independent , profitable and true to the PPS ethos of mutuality and exclusivity .
