ON THE COVER HOW ONE DOCTOR DISCOVERED HIS POTENTIAL LAITNETOP 7 The Practice SEVERAL YEARS AGO, DR. LEO YELIZAROV from Alpharetta, GA, was basically pleased with the status of his single-doctor Practice: 65 New Patients per month, $150,000 average production, and 98% collections rate. In 2007 he became one of only 14 Dentists in Georgia, and 450 nationwide, to receive Diplomate status by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He is one of the extremely few who have been awarded the honor a second time – in 2011 by the Board of Directors of the American Dental Implant Association. In 2012, he was named one of America’s Top Dentists for the 5th consecutive year. By all accounts, his 20-year Practice was quite successful! Even so, Dr. Leo admits to feeling “all dressed up with no place to go!” Intuitively, he just knew there was much greater potential to his Practice, but didn’t know how to seize it. He had no clear goals or long-term vision. When he heard Jay speak at a seminar about the extent of missed opportunities due to ineffective phone procedures, Dr. Leo knew the Scheduling Institute was the ticket! Even though his staff was viewed by patients as being caring and compassionate, he felt they lacked engagement. Since joining S.I. he’s seen a marked improvement. Now, whenever they return from training, “They are not only pumped and motivated, but anxious to teach the concepts they’ve learned to other staff members. Engagement has never been higher.” He further rallies his team by espousing, “Let’s reach our goals… AND have fun along the way!”
