It turned out that they were Orthodox Christians from Greece , in London for a holiday . They were very welcome .
As we walked along , we sang hymns , said prayers , but were generally silent . People from upstairs windows took photos and folk in restaurants stopped eating to see what was going on .
In Hanover Square , the workmen on the Crossrail project looked over their barrier at the goings on . On we walked , right through Central London until we arrived at Spanish Place , where Mgr Keith Newton celebrated Benediction . It had taken one and a half hours ! But it was worth it for the witness to the Catholic Faith that we gave .
Our Lord Jesus Christ , in his Sacramental presence , was carried right through the heart of the capital ; a true Corpus Christi celebration of the Catholic Faith . Every continent was represented . People saw the true breadth of the faithful at a time when it is too easy to see only division .
