Ponte Vedra Auto Show 21 Ponte Vedra Recorder · September 10, 2015 Monday, Sept. 14 Great Books Discussion Group The monthly meeting of the Great Books Discussion Group will take place Monday, Sept. 14 at 3 p.m. at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, 101 Library Blvd. in Ponte Vedra Beach. The books to be discussed are from the 1st Series of the Great Books Reading & Discussion Program. All interested readers are welcome to attend. This program is made possible by the Friends of the Library. For more information, call the library at [phone]. Docent Training at the Cummer Cummer Docent Training begins Sept. 14. The Docent Corps is an integral part of the Cummer Museum. Docents are dynamic, dedicated Museum volunteers with diverse backgrounds, who lead tours of the Permanent Collection and Temporary Exhibitions for school-aged children and adults. No previous teaching or art history experience is required as Docents attend monthly training sessions with Museum staff in order to learn about school tours, the history of the Cummer family, the Permanent Collection, and Gardens. Once training is completed, Docents make a weekly commitment of their time that makes the Museum’s tour programs possible. Caregiver Support Group The Players Caregiver Support Group meets every Monday 12:00-1:00 p.m. at The Players Senior Center, 175 Landrum Lane in Ponte Vedra Beach.
