U12A XI

This has been an excellent season for the U12 players , for so many reasons . To be back enjoying all that comes with regular fixtures , in a competitive school environment , was a pleasure to witness .
Teamwork has been at the heart of their success and each player should be proud of how much they have contributed . The squad have been committed to training and worked hard to develop their skills and knowledge in games sessions .
Highlights must be the victory at Scarborough College , the best performance of the season and a fantastic penalty corner conversion . Other victories against Hill House , Giggleswick , and Hull Collegiate also well-deserved .
Our losses have also made the squad stronger , such as the windy game at Barnard Castle and a tough competitive game against Hymers . Although we lost our second meeting against St Peters , the improvement in the squad since they first met , is credit to their fantastic attitude and willingness to learn .
Player of the Season : Octavia Farnsworth Most Improved Player : Emily Longthorp

U12B / C XI

The team have shown great progression throughout the term . They have been enthusiastic , willing to learn and supportive of each other , despite many of the results not going their way . They have greatly improved their individual skills and team awareness , and they have the potential to develop into a very competent squad . The standout performance was a comeback victory at Barnard Castle , where the girls displayed character and belief under the rainbow filled sky of the North Pennines .
Player of the Season : Isabel Moorhouse
Most Improved Players : Martha Preston and Elisa Di Stasio ( both promoted to U12A !)
The U12C team have demonstrated outstanding determination and progression this season . They have worked hard as a team to increase their competitiveness and stick skills . Almost every week the girls ’ resilience was tested by some trying weather conditions and oppositions – as a result , they have become a fantastic unit ! Well done all .
