CCF REVIEW //
in eight activities including fieldcraft , survival , a gun run , an RAF flight simulation and drone piloting . The feedback for the day was hugely positive and over 60 Third Year pupils have opted to join our Contingent as Fourth Year recruits from September .
The year ended with a condensed summer camp package . The RAF were unable to provide a camp and the Army camp was one day rather than the usual seven . That being said , our team of twenty-four cadets and five staff enjoyed exploring Driffield training area and made the most of the fieldcraft training , paintball target shooting , gun run and paintball CQB ( closequarters battle ).
We all now look forward to the next chapter for Pocklington CCF . The new year will bring training from 4pm to 5pm every Thursday , overnight training weekends , flying for the RAF , a lunchtime shooting club , our Biennial Inspection , and participation in the Pocklington Town Remembrance Parade . I have no doubt that our cadets will rise to the challenges and represent our school , and the CCF , with pride .
