U13 XI
The U13 girls team has had a positive and successful season of
hockey. The girls displayed some excellent skills and teamwork
in every game they played. Lot’s of versatility was needed by all
players to move into different positions, and the girls adapted
easily to this.
The standard of hockey this year has been huge and it has
been a challenge for the girls. However they have stepped up
their game and played with grit and determination.
They played some great hockey in the Pocklington invitational
tournament and had some great wins against Terrington
and Scarborough. The girls have all worked very hard

The U12s have been a fantastic group of girls who have been a
real pleasure to work with this season. The highlight of the term
for the As was certainly the 6-5 win against Mount St Mary’s.
The girls were 5-4 down with only 3 minutes to go, but so
determined was Daisy Luckett to win, that she scored two goals
in quick succession to bring home an excellent victory against
strong opposition! Bella Foley has played superbly in goal for
the As, ably supported by Orla Jamieson and Honey Roe in
defence. Izzy Rowley, Evie Rennison and Scarlett Robinson
have worked tirelessly in midfield with Daisy Luckett working
superbly as centre forward.
and been determined in every game they play.
On the whole a fab hockey season for the U13 girls both A
& B teams, they have all put in a huge amount of effort and
dedication in games, practices and matches, which has paid off
greatly for the girls.
Good luck for the 2018 hockey season. Well done!

The Bs, at the time of writing, have been unbeaten this season.
They have been an excellent team, showing much potential.
The team has changed often as new players have been given
the chance to play, but a special mention must go to Maisie
Spruyt, Jessica Dyson, Lucy Grewer and Bethany Fenwick
who have all played very well indeed throughout. Kitty
Webber also deserves a mention for attending every practice
and for being first out each week. Well done.
The C and D teams have also improved so much and I am
sure that some of these girls will be pushing for places in the
higher teams next year. Players who have shown a great deal
of improvement since the beginning of the term are Annie
Pearson and Hattie Hawkes. Very well done to all the girls.
Distinctions for contributions to U12 hockey go to Izzy Rowley
and Lucy Grewer, whose approach and attitude towards both
their hockey and their other team mates has been first class.
