Salix fragilis English: Crack willow This plant is a tree. The average height is 10 m - 20m. The bark colour is grey. Spanish: Mimbrera It is deciduous. Portuguese: Vime Flowers The petals colour is green. The petals have funnel shape. Flowers grow in inflorescences called catkins, male and female in separated trees. Leaves The leaf is simple, with petiole. They are lanceolate, without hairs. They are 9–15 cm long and 1.5–3 cm wide, with a finely serrated margin. Fruit Once pollinated by bees, the female catkins transform into woolly white seeds, which are dispersed by wind.
