Prunus domestica

Typically it forms a large shrub or a small tree. Prunus domestica is a species of flowering plant in the family Rosaceae. The European plum probably originated in eastern Europe or western Asia around the Caucasus and the Caspian Sea. It has been known in Europe for more than 2000 years.
Flowers Plum has five simpel petaled flowers. The ornamental plums are bred white or pink flowers.
Leaves Plum leaves are oblong in shape with a pointed tip. The leaves are surrounded by serration similar to what is found on a knife. Species plums have green leaves but many of the hybrid varieties will have red to purple leaves.
Fruit Plums may be yellow, red or purple. The oval or spherical fruit varies in size, but can be up to 8 cm across, and is usually sweet
