Do you guys play a lot of shows in your area?l
Actually no. We know from experience in previous bands not to “overplay” a certain venue or area. Since we started playing shows, our focus has been on touring and building a fan base around the country. And when we do come home for a show, the fans are all the more excited to see us.
What is each members favorite song from the new music and why?
Philip- "A Traveling Song.” It’s fitting for the last song on the EP. It tells our story, as well as anyone else’s who has decided to follow their dreams to the end. It’s all about this journey we’re on and asks tough questions like “Why do we do what we do?” and “What do you do when you’ve lost your faith?” Finally, it reminds us why we can’t stop going, that this journey isn't just about us.
David- "We're All Mad Here" I love this song because it is musically the most fun one to play on the album and it presents a great philosophy on life. There are always going to be moments when we face things that are beyond our control and the way we deal with those moments can make or break our ability to get through life. This song suggests that we should live our lives so that we don't have to be afraid of those moments and that's a huge part of what we're doing with our music.
Zach- It took some thinking, but my favorite song overall on the EP is "We're All Mad Here." We're all Disney fans in the band and in this song in particular, the lyrics use an Alice In Wonderland theme to help the listener paint a picture of what the end of the world may look like. I think it's really cool to reference older movies that people our age can relate to in a serious way. I just love where the song takes you.
Jesse- " A Traveling Song". Musically, it really stands out from the other tracks. Lyrically, I think it came out of what we went through as a group and as individuals when the band first started. Those were some tough times. This songs reminds me that we got through those times and that we will be able to get through anything else this life throws at us.
