Summer is Here!
Welcome back old friends and warm greetings to those who have found us for the first time. We’ re so glad you’ re all here! Summer has finally arrived and we look forward to enjoying and appreciating these longer lightfilled days and warm inviting evenings. Summer makes us feel hopeful and renewed in mind, body and spirit, a feeling you’ ll find reflected throughout this issue of The Pink Paper.
Lately I’ ve been thinking a lot about the importance of balance. I don’ t know about you, but finding balance in my life is a challenge I seem to wrestle with ongoing. My younger self struggled with too much play, while my more mature( A. K. A. older) self is finding just the opposite to be true, not enough play. How do we find a good balance when we’ re faced with so many responsibilities? How do we make sure we’ re taking care of ourselves? Einstein said,“ Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” Movement is key. Life is all about movement. Just take a look at our bodies, they are in constant movement; breathing, beating, digesting, pulsing, healing... it’ s absolutely amazing what are bodies are capable of doing. So, maybe balance is never something we’ re done with, but rather a state that we strive to be in more often than not. This sounds doable! In this issue of The Pink Paper we’ re proud to share information and inspiration from various accomplished experts regarding finding balance, along with other health and wellness topics. Whether you’ ve been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, are a long time thriver or have never had a breast cancer experience, our intent is to offer hope, positivity and humor to help you on your journey.
One more thing before I sign off, don’ t forget to check out our wonderful advertisers like Pet Supplies Plus, Lucinda’ s Hair, Diagnostic Radiology Associates and Wig Loft, to name a few. Many thanks to them for going above and beyond in all they do!
Take good care,
Natalie
