sunny wisdomHey there! It’ s good to be back. I hope ya’ ll enjoyed meeting and hearing from my good pal Tucker. He always has a lot helpful tidbits of advice to share.
For those of you who haven’ t had the pleasure of meeting me, let me introduce myself again. I am Sunny Raphael, but everyone calls me Sunny. My humans, Natalie and Roy, are a funny pair. He’ s the tallest giant of a man I’ ve ever seen, but a big marshmallow pushover. She’ s a tiny, little boss, always talking and trying to enforce rules, but totally workable. These two really needed me in their lives. They needed to chill out, play and relax.... boy did they ever!
Hey, thanks for all the mail, keep it coming...

Since your humans work they could take you to doggy daycare where you’ d get to run, play and hangout with fellow frisky, soon-tobe friends.
Another option is to join a playgroup, they can be a blast and a half. I’ ve done both and always leave happy, happy, happy, tired, all played out and did I mention happy?! Best of luck my friend, Sunny
Dear Sunny, How’ s it going? My human’ s name is Josh and since he found out he has breast cancer he’ s been pretty low. He’ s not taking me out for walks like he used to and I think he’ d feel better if he did. What should I do? Best Regards, Spike

Dearest Spike, I’ m sorry to hear about Josh. Please give him my best. A lot of peeps don’ t realize men get breast cancer too. Men account for about 1 % of breast cancer diagnoses. This may sound like a small number, but I imagine if you’ re in the 1 % it feels huge. First, let him know how much you love and care about him. Show your support by listening to what he needs, being there for him and giving him a bit of space now and then.
As far as going for walks, it’ ll happen my friend. If he was recently diagnosed he needs time to get used to his new normal and probably has tons of appointments. Be patient. If his diagnosis isn’ t recent he may be tired or depressed. Gently
