If Aphrodite doesn’t call to you, perhaps there’s another archetype for you, a different goddess or whatever image speaks to you of sensuality, beauty, love and desire. Research your archetype to learn who she was, how she lived, what she wore, who were her lovers, what brought her joy and satisfaction. Choose to nourish these aspects of you: • Dress like the goddess ~ wear things that feel beautiful • Act like the goddess ~ know and embody her qualities • Ask to be treated as a goddess by your lover or treat yourself this way • Radiate her essence and see and feel how you glow What can you do to make this real? Ideas to get you started: • • • • Take a bath in scented oil, with soft music and candlelight Imagine you are bathing in preparation for a meeting with your lover and daydream about what will happen Apply scented lotion or oil to your body as if you were caressing the body of a goddess ... you are Have a date with your lover or yourself and dress in something sensuous; prepare sensual foods, light candles, dance to music that inspires your body to move • sensually, say, “I love you” to your partner and to yourself Look into your eyes in the mirror, see your inner goddess, see your beauty and know you are beautiful and sexy Allow yourself to be inspired and know it’s your time to thrive as you literally reinvent yourself.
