When the fluid levels in the body do not balance a state of dehydration or hyperhydration can occur . Dehydration is the excessive loss of body fluid and excessive loss of electrolytes whereas Hyper-hydration excessive intake of water which pushes the normal balance of electrolytes outside of their safe limits . During a basketball game it is very important for the player to stay hydrated so they do not suffer from dehydration .
When you exercise your heart rate will increase , meaning that your heart will beat faster . This allows the body to supply blood to the working muscles more quickly . As oxygen is carried in the blood this means that more oxygen can be transported to these muscles and allows them to keep contracting , the quicker your heart beats the more oxygen you ’ re getting but the quicker your heart beats the more oxygen you need . Your heart rate will continue to rise even if you ’ re exercising at the same intensity but if the intensity increases then your heart rate will rise accordingly to meet the demand for oxygen by the working muscles . The anticipatory rise is an increase in heart rate that typically occurs just before an activity it results from an increase in activity of the sympathetic nervous system and releases adrenaline and noradrenaline into the blood stream .
During exercise your heart pumps more blood out to your working muscles , while the blood vessels within the muscles expand . These two countering effects cause a rise in your blood pressure . Your blood pressure varies throughout your day depending on what you are doing , the harder you are working means that more blood that has to be pumped around to the working muscles and the blood pressure raises . If the pressure rises too high or does not return to normal , there may be a problem . However , if you do exercises consistently , it will help to lower high blood pressure . If someone is starting to exercise or play sport it ’ s all about starting slow and slowly increasing so you don ’ t cause yourself any serious health problems .
