50 YEARS LATER... IN THE WIND BY ABHITHA MOHAN Locklin stood on his front porch, and watched Janet throw some seeds for a few doves. ‘There used to be a bevy,’ he thought. He looked at what used to be the forest that surrounded them. There were barely any trees left as he had used them up to build his machine and all the changes in the village like, tar roads and buildings that followed its success. Even though the village seemed better off financially, Locklin couldn't help but wonder if taking pictures was worth it especially now that he knew what the darkness was. -Ceci
