but it kept repeating itself.
"Clarity you say" echoed the healer. Locklin could hear the healers voice as
clear as he could hear his own thoughts. “Is it clarity that you really seek?” she
continued. Locklin was now puzzled. He had come here to get answers, but
was himself being questioned and before he realised, the images started
changing.
"Locklin, close your eyes and clear your mind and take your thoughts back to
the dream," she said. As he thought about the dream the images started forming
again but the images appeared different than before. It seemed as if the images
were brought closer to his eyes. "Take deep breaths, Locklin and open your
eyes." Locklin wondered how he could close his eyes and open them in this
world created in his unconscious mind, while his body remained asleep.
"Now on the surface, the events of this dream seemed distorted but all these
scenes were saying the same thing except for the last one.
“Pay attention to the boy and the young man,” said the healer. He was now
studying every movement and he realised that he was indeed saying the same
thing.
"Yes, I see it now," he said cautiously.
"Do you know what that means?" she asked.
"I believe it means this is a prophetic dream and I have but a few hours before
the events expire from turning into my destiny," he replied. “But, what about
the last one?" he added.
But then he felt as if he was sinking. “Relax! Relax boy, or else you'll drown,”
yelled the healer. He then began to calm down and when he opened his eyes he
felt as if he had just dropped into his body. He realised he wasn't in water and in
fact his body was completely dry. He was lying on a bunch of royal empress
leaves. He glanced at the healer to and instinctively knew not to ask from the
look on her face. "Locklin," she said in an almost motherly tone “Will you go
there?" she asked curiously as she searched his eyes. He paused for a few beats
before he responded a ‘yes.’
"Then, you need not know what the last part means for you only have a few
hours left. Knowing will just delay the inevitable" she said as if she was
weighing the options herself. He started walking away slowly, but when he was
