replied, trying to be adamant, all the
while his eyes giving him away. But
she managed to reason with him,
something only his mother could do
and so he stayed.
She thought he stayed because she
made him realise the beauty of the

different reason. Ever since that
day they spent a lot of their time
together.
Soon after their first meeting at that
bamboo tree, Locklin felt that
he needed to find ways to preserve the beauty of her smile. He would spend
hours just staring at her. He appreciated the way her teeth reflected the
sun’s rays so that they would sparkle at a certain angle. He loved how her
smile complimented the grand landscapes offered by the mountain and its
forest. And he absolutely adored how her lips danced when she laughed.
‘If only I could freeze time and preserve this jewel!’
Now, during the early hours of that fateful day when he stumbled upon that
piece of technology Locklin had a very perplexing dream. This dream had
been coming to him for the past month, every other day without fail. The
same vivid images would appear, causing his spirit to become agitated. He
decided to go for an appointment his mother had booked for him with the
