Adopt Me- Featuring Sox!
CLICK HERE TO MAKE A DONATION TO HELP HEARTWORM POSITIVE DOGS AT AAS
Sox has earned his VIP title for the time he’ s spent waiting patiently in the shelter for his forever family. Being a VIP Adoptable Pet simply means that we want to shine a little extra light on him. Whether it is because of time spent in the shelter, being heartworm positive or needing a little extra TLC, being a VIP Pet doesn’ t mean they are broken, it just means they need someone to give them a chance. Being a VIP Pet at Arlington Animal Services is our way of showing you the pets who need a little more attention.
Sox is a special VIP Adoptable Dog whose smile just gets bigger the longer you are with him. Full of love and personality, Sox loves to play, but also enjoys just spending time with people. His smile has a way of making us smile and we are determined to find this pup his happily ever after. Sox is a VIP Adoptable dog for his time spent in the shelter, but we also want to share the opportunity about how you can help other shelter dogs who wait the longest in the shelter too.
Heartworm positive dogs have the hardest time finding a loving family who will adopt them. While we are able to sponsor some heartworm treatments, the need is always great. We are hoping to grow our ability to help more heartworm positive dogs receive this lifesaving care. Money donated to our Medical Special Needs Account is able to directly assist in covering treatment costs for heartworm positive dogs at AAS, giving them the chance to heal, thrive, and be loved by their adopted families.
Choosing to adopt a VIP like Sox, or a heartworm positive dog is truly life changing. For them and you. Don’ t forget, the rescue ripple effect. When you adopt one, when you foster one, you save MANY!
Volunteer News
Do you have a love for cats and kittens? We are looking for volunteers to spend time socializing with our adoptable cats. Just like dogs, cats need socialization to help learn trust and gain confidence making them ready for their furever homes. We would also love the extra hands( and cameras) to help capture adorable photos for their adoption profiles. No professional photography experience needed!
A little of your time can make a BIG difference for homeless shelter pets and we would love for you to be a part of our team.
