The Parade had the chance to witness the crowning of the next generation of stars at one of the biggest music extravaganza witnessed in the country in 2012, the Chibuku Road to Fame national finals. Although other musicians failed to walk away with prizes on offer, the show proved beyond measure that Zimbabwe has got talented upcoming musicians who are waiting to be nurtured so that they bloom to their full potential. he air was drenched with the aroma of sorghum from Zimbabwe’s favourite opaque beer, as patrons filed into the Glamis Arena to witness the birth of future stars at the Chibuku Road to fame. And on stage were scores of performers from Zimbabwe’s 10 provinces who were eying the lucrative recording contract and the US$5 000 winner’s prize money. They included Tanga Pasi, Orchestra Sungura, Black Jazz, Facebook Brothers, Massive Combination, Terry and The Bliss, Guruve Marimba, Attacking Super Sounds and Jungle Tribe.
