Thirteen reasons why is about a girl named Hannah Baker. She is a high school student as she is just starting in high school she starts to have trouble with the people that she goes to school with soon rumors have started about her people don’t care to find out who she really is but they think she stands by her reputation that she was given soon she can’t handle what is going on and starts to think about committing suicide soon she does it but as they story goes on you find out that there was really 13 reason on why she committed so she records them on tapes and if you receive the tapes to have to listen to all of them until you find your story but you have to listen to the tape after you so you know who you are suppose to send the tapes to if you refuse to send the tapes to the next person the tapes will be released to the public and people will know how she really felt and what was her reasoning behind it.

There are many things that the author could be pointing out but there is one big picture he was painting while you were reading the book. He wanted to you think, think of things that you would see at your school. It could be from the way she was bullied by the kids at her school of the way she held in all her emotions. The point that the author was trying to get a cross is that the little things do matter just because you don't seem to noticed doesn't mean the person the you are saying it doesn't see it. It can make a big impact on the person that is being told this and you don't really know until that person tells you or until they bring it up.

Jay Asher is a very good author but I think that the story could have a little more to the plot. As it kept switching from Hannah to Clay to become a little confusing. But as all the points in the book were strong you are able to picture what exactly he wants you to. Also having the tapes that Hannah talks in on you tube was a great idea that you get the feel of what it was like to receive those tapes and to make you feel like you are part of the book. As I was reading it I now understand why it is such a great book and why its raking are so high but I would also recommend you reading this book as well.
