The pain behind the smile (May. 2014) | Página 7

Writing this magazine was very difficult for me. It became a big challenge for me to find a person that was open to admit they have been bully (Nicole’s story pg 16-17.) or to find someone that admits that they were a bully (Mark’s regrets pg 18-19.). Bullying isn’t something you would normally admit weather you were the victim or the bully. I really wanted to write my magazine about this topic because I know that bullying is everywhere with people trying to prevent it. I think a lot of people are saying things that should happen but they never really put it into action. They put this image in your head of a perfect world with no bullying and they expect you to do something about it but they never really show you how to do it they just speak words, words that are basically empty unless you have something to fill them up with you need to put your own passion, your own power in them. I have always had people come and talk to our class about bullying they would always come and say if you want something to do something about you should get off your butt and stop expecting people to do it for you. My teacher from 8th grade showed me this quote that really helped me drive my passion for bullying he showed me this one quote by Dr.Seuss it went “unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot nothing is gonna get better its not.” This really pushed me because i have a voice and its just a waste if i don't use it for something that i know is right. A lot of people are getting told over and over don’t bully it can hurt the other person but they really don't think, hey that’s someone's daughter/sister/brother/son if something happens to them the don't lose just a kid they lose a part of them. Someone might end up losing their only kid a kid that was a miracle for them. No one wants to have to bury their child.

UNLESS SOMEONE LIKE YOU CARES A WHOLE ALFUL LOT NOTHINNG IS GOING TO GET BETTER ITS NOT!- DR.SEUSS "THE LORAX"
