Slalom European World Championships
The slalom team continued to impress elsewhere , too , particularly at U23 / Junior level . Lois Leaver became the U23 women ’ s kayak World Champion in Liptovsky and won her first individual medal , whilst Ben Haylett won his first individual accolade , becoming the men ’ s kayak U23 European Champion . Across those European Championships , Britain won a huge 12 medals in Krakow , the biggest haul at one competition for GB in some time .
K1 & K2 European Championships
After an incredible competition , Kristina Armstrong became a double U23 European Champion in Bratislava , stepping up from the juniors for the first time . The Scottish paddler first won the women ’ s K1 500m in fantastic fashion before joining up with Zoe Clark as the pair impressed in the women ’ s K2 500m to win a second gold in the competition .
Wild Water World Championships
In wild water racing , it was a golden season for Kerry and Emma Christie as they combined to become senior World Champions for the first time in Sabero , Spain . Their historic success led to a wonderful season for the international squad , which achieved 18 medals .
Freestyle European Championships
Ottilie Robinson-Shaw continued to shine on the international freestyle stage , becoming a double European Champion in Graz . Winning gold in the women ’ s canoe and kayak , she achieved a record-breaking score in Austria and claimed eight medals throughout the season .
Marathon European Championships
James Russell impressed at the marathon European Championships as he won double bronze in Poznan . He kicked things off with a third-place finish in the short-course final , before replicating his achievements in the long-course later in the week .
Surf Kayak World Championships
Anna Harper enjoyed her first-ever World Championship as the England surf kayak team claimed an impressive medal haul in Mar Del Plata , Argentina . After impressive displays in challenging conditions , the junior paddler became the World Champion in both the junior women ’ s short and long boat classes .
SUP World Championships
Anna Little won her first world title at the ICF SUP World Championships in Sarasota , Florida , as she pushed to the gold medal in the sprint final .
Ocean Racing World Championships
There were a trio of medals for the GB team at the Ocean Racing World Champs , with Terry Miller winning a brilliant bronze in the junior men ’ s category .
World Rafting Championships
Brits won ten medals at the IRF World Rafting Champs in Banja Luka , including an impressive five medals for the GB1 Masters Women , who claimed gold overall .
The senior women ’ s team won silver after impressing at the canoe polo Super Cup in Hangzhou , China . The men ’ s senior team also made the podium with an excellent bronze .
