gets bowled over!
Tabor-Jones knows how to do things in style, that’s why when Leigh Cricket Club based in Chalkwell Park were looking for a new sponsor Barry Jones stepped in. Will he be a name to remember for years to come? We think so, as the club were so pleased with his efforts they named the pavilion after him!
Barry Jones, the MD of TaborJones Ltd, is an all around good guy. Constantly striving to help support local causes and groups through sponsorship, most recently of which was the Art Therapy Class in Hadleigh. He is everything that we at the PACK could want in a sponsor. That’s why we were overjoyed when Barry stepped in above and beyond his normal commitment as a sponsor to help out Leigh Cricket Club. While at the club, presenting a new name plaque that he had financed, Barry noticed that the club pavilion was looking a little worse for wear so offered to repaint, decorate and maintain it. We thought that Burgundy and Cream – the Tabor-Jones colours –
would look great so asked the club if they would have any objections to the clubhouse being painted in these colours. Not only did they agree but they also suggested by way of thanks that it would be renamed the ‘Tabor-Jones Pavilion’. Barry said, “I’m very happy that they have given me the honour of naming this historic building after me and my company”. This heart-warming story has been very beneficial for both parties. The club has a generous and caring sponsor, who always helps out in whatever way he can, and Tabor-Jones now has a unique representation of his brand in a fantastic location in Chalkwell Park, in central Westcliff-on-Sea. The new look Tabor-Jones Pavilion is an example of the
generosity of business people like Barry, and how grass roots sports clubs are staying open because of their support. Tabor-Jones is a medium sized building company local to the cricket club and we think you will see that they are a cut above the average.
