The OVCRD Report
“We all have to expand our capabilities to encompass
the changing world, its growing diversity and, indeed,
its complexity.”
Lachlan Murdoch
The University of the Philippines
Diliman
is clear about what kind of institution it wants
to be—a dynamic university with global reach,
known for its innovations across disciplines,
and defined by its consistent production of
excellent scholarship, research and creative
work. Development and expansion is essential
to ensure that the University remains
responsive to the needs of the nation and
maintains its frontrunner role in social
transformation.
In order to nurture an environment for
research and creative work that is conducive
to change,
is continually working
its services inside and outside of the UP
community. During the administration of
Chancellor Caesar A. Saloma, the OVCRD,
led by Vice-Chancellor Benito M. Pacheco,
launched several new initiatives and
undertook new functions while
simultaneously scaling up existing programs.
