overall, but I’ve met some genuinely good people, and some that at least take the actual tradition seriously. I figured that’s all I can ask for on something like IMVU, so I’m happy with that. I feel like IMVU gives the potential to do some RL good things, which is the reason I decided to start a chapter. After a year and some changes have occurred, some RL good things have been done, and there’s much more in store. I know how a lot of people feel about the competitiveness and the “beefs”, but I don’t mind it lol. It’s fun to me and reminds me of how it is on the yard in RL. The important thing is for that not to get in the way of working together on the things we should be working on, like our common commitment to community service, which is why the NPHC exists. As powerful as these organizations are individually, we can make a much larger impact together, so if there’s ever a verifiably good cause that needs financial contribution from the Chi Rho Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi let the magazine know that we’re open to that at all times.

I: :D tyvm and we appreciate it

D: If you notice one of the flyers on the wall we held a drive in the honor of Tamala Simpson for the brain aneurysm foundation. Tamala is the cousin of a friend of ours in RL. She died of a brain aneurysm at the age of 23, leaving behind 2 children. She died shortly before what would have been her 24th birthday. It wasn’t long after our chapter started and we had only about 6 members at the time and we raised 100K which we sold to imvuce.com. It got us 36+dollars and we donated that to the brain aneurysm foundation. We also held a banquet and during it I shared my screen through join.me as I filled out he donation form and sent the money in, that way it could be seen that we didn’t take the money…I believe transparency is important with things like that. One of the ladies present at the banquet was a Zeta and she donated $20 of her own money, so in total it was $56+ dollars.

I: That is simply amazing. I love to see and hear people doing positive things here on imvu ii. You mentioned earlier having two RL greeks in your chapter. How does someone who is not a greek in RL feel welcome or not intimidated by a chapter that has RL greek members?
