Around the Campus SCOTT FOX NAMED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE WVHCA Scott Fox, CEO of The Orchards family of businesses, was recently named to the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Health Care Association (WVHCA). This organization represents more than 120 Mountain State nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Working in tandem with approximately 120 members, the West Virginia Health Care Association (https://www.wvhca.org/) is the largest trade association representing nursing facilities and assisted living communities in West Virginia. The organization works to develop a legislative agenda and educational programs for the 12,000 residents receiving care each day in West Virginia Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Communities. “As a former WVHCA President, it’s an honor to serve as a board member to continue positively affecting legislation that impacts our most vulnerable residents. I hold the mission and duties of this organization close to my heart. I’m honored to have been selected by my peers and am ready to get to work,” said Fox. Scott Fox is a graduate of West Virginia University, a husband, father of two, and a third generation owner and operator of continuing care facilities in WV, OH, and PA. With this appointment, the man behind the vision and dedication to improving the lives of the elder population through expanded resident choice, attraction and retention of elite care teams, and world-class amenities that make The Orchards properties successful, will be of service to the state of West Virginia. Therefore, on Tuesday, May 21 some the residents painted little birdhouses to help spread the summer joy throughout the skilled nursing unit. The birdhouses were painted with bright, cheerful, and radiant colors making home tweet homes for the birds. Save the Date Stone Pear Pavilion Bring on the barbecue! Stone Pear’s annual Independence Day Picnic is scheduled for Wednesday, July 3rd, at lunch time in the back parking lot.
