were planted and they have already begun to sprout! I think it is safe to say spring has sprung! Upcoming Activities COOKING WITH Cooking with Megan is one of The Orchards of MEGAN Saxonburg’s most highly anticipated activities of each month. Megan is a Sous Chef and the Certified Dietary Manager at The Orchards of Saxonburg. Each month during food committee Megan discusses different cuisine options with the residents. By the end of food committee the residents and Megan have come up with the perfect dish to create! On May 1st, Megan demonstrated how to make stir fry from scratch! The resident’s are still raving about the stir fry and cannot wait until next month’s cooking demonstration. Mexican cuisine is on the top of the list! Mary Bowers shows off her spring door decoration! “Learn how to cook - Try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless and above all, have fun. ” -Julia Child Almeada Wilson enjoys shopping at the Dollar Tree during May’s facility outing! Dollar Tree is the resident’s favorite place to shop! SUMMER VACATION WEEK June starts the summer season of vacations and family getaways. The Orchards of East Liverpool will spend a week celebrating all that summer vacations have to offer. June 24th to June 28th will include crafts, food, reminiscing activities and games revolving around the theme of a road trip. We will be creating Vanity plates to decorate our doors and postcards to send to loved ones. A Route 66 party has been planned to finish out the week.
