6- September-October 2013 The It’s our 1st This edition marks the first anniversary of The Onymous. Wow. I can hardly believe that a whole year has flown by, and I’m super proud it’s made it this far. I’ll start at the beginning - since that’s a pretty good place to start. In April last year I had an idea: To create a Christian magazine that is for and by youth. What was there to lose? Only time. And I had plenty. So I started trying to plan it out a little, and think of a name. I wanted something original and new which no other magazine worldwide called. was It took a while for me to find a name. It was my sister who thought of it. At first, I didn’t like ‘The Onymous’ so much, but when I started thinking about what the goal of my magazine would be, I decided it made sense. And when I googled it, nothing similar came up. Onymous is the opposite of anonymous. It means ‘known’ or ‘bearing a name’.
