THE HOW ANDWHY
OF EVANGELISM
Evangelism is not about winning an argument , it ’ s about sharing God ’ s love . It ’ s about Jesus .
Romans 5:8 : But God demonstrates his own love for us in this : While we were still sinners , Christ died for us .
John 3:16-17 : For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son , that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life . For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world , but to save the world through him .
John 13:34 : A new command I give you : Love one another . As I have loved you , so you must love one another .
John 14:6 : Jesus answered , “ I am the way and the truth and the life . No one comes to the Father except through me .
There are opportunities all around us to share the gospel . It ’ s important to realize that
God created us as creative beings . Sometimes we see evangelizing as a dull , tiresome obligation ; but when you pray for the opportunities and words , God answers , although not always how you expected Him to . If you ask God for opportunities to share the Gospel and His love , He will give you opportunities .
God knows the hearts of people better than we do , so we should trust His leading . Evangelism cannot simply happen on our own terms ; we have to follow God ’ s plan .
And when we see people receiving the love of God and loving Him back , it ’ s worth it . When your heart is in it , telling people about God and demonstrating his
