THE HOW ANDWHY
OF EVANGELISM
Evangelism is not about winning an argument, it’ s about sharing God’ s love. It’ s about Jesus.
Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16-17: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 13:34: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
John 14:6: Jesus answered,“ I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
There are opportunities all around us to share the gospel. It’ s important to realize that
God created us as creative beings. Sometimes we see evangelizing as a dull, tiresome obligation; but when you pray for the opportunities and words, God answers, although not always how you expected Him to. If you ask God for opportunities to share the Gospel and His love, He will give you opportunities.
God knows the hearts of people better than we do, so we should trust His leading. Evangelism cannot simply happen on our own terms; we have to follow God’ s plan.
And when we see people receiving the love of God and loving Him back, it’ s worth it. When your heart is in it, telling people about God and demonstrating his
