Although invitation sevens teams came through
to contest the later stages, there were also plenty
of good performances from local club sides, with
Pocklington and Old Pocklingtonians both making it
into the quarter finals.
In the OP matches, bragging rights were at stake
as Old Pocklingtonians went head to head with
traditional rivals St Peter’s (Old Peterites) swiftly
followed after a break of only 20 minutes by Old
Hymerians. Of the two, Hymers presented the
stronger challenge and with the score locked at 14
all at half time it was all to play for. OPs kept up
the pressure in
