SUMMARY OF SEASON

M

innesota’s season was one of severe temperatures all winter,
deep snow in March and April, and a late start for most sugar
makers.  Overall production ranged from below average to average
with many producers experiencing a very short season.  Total taps reported by members at the annual meeting totaled 70,000 and total
syrup production of approximately 22,000 gallons.  (Excludes nonmembers and members not reporting.)
