Candidates must follow all rules laid out

by Emory University and the NJCL.

Materials:

All campaign materials (including any signs, posters, graphics, etc.) must be emailed to both [ parliamentarian@njcl.org ] and [ constitution@njcl.org ] before the start of convention. There is a budget of $50 per candidate for campaign materials. Candidates must keep all receipts for campaign materials and turn them in to the NJCL Parliamentarian at the end of the Nominations Committee Meeting. Any donated or previously owned items should be budgeted at their standard retail price. Prices for printed materials are set at $0.08 per black & white copy and $0.15 per color copy.

Emory Student Center: Posters of any kind are NOT allowed to be hung in the Emory Student Center, including the Dining Hall. However, materials may be displayed electronically on the TVs throughout the center. Send a 1080 x 1080 pixel graphic at least one week before the start of convention to ensure that it can be displayed properly.

Residence Halls: Posters may ONLY be hung on wooden doors in the building, not covering any windows. Use painter's tape only.

WoodPEC and White Hall: Posters must be easily removable. Use painter's tape only.

Rest of Campus: Washable sidewalk chalk is allowed only where rain can wash it away. Yard signs are allowed. Stickers are not allowed. No posters may be put in any building other than the residence halls, WoodPEC, and White Hall. All materials must be removed by the candidate before the end of convention.

Appearing on Stage:

Candidates may not appear on stage at any time during a general assembly unless it is part of the electoral process.

Formal attire is required for all onstage appearances. Examples of formal attire include: collared dress shirt, neckties or bowties, dress slacks, dresses, dress blouse and dress skirt, suit jackets or blazers, dress shoes.
