Carolyn Prucha
Student Dietetic Association: What year are you at NIU?
Carolyn Prucha: I'm technically a senior, but I’ll be a 5th year senior in the fall.
SDA: What is your major,?
CP: I am majoring in Dietetics.
SDA: How long have you been involved in SDA?
CP: This is my third year in SDA.
SDA: What has been your favorite event SDA has done, or what event are you looking forward to most? Why?
CP: I really liked the canned food drive. I’ve been wanting to do that since last year and I'm glad the new E-Board agreed to the idea. I grew up struggling with poverty and food insecurity, and I'm sure other SDA members have too. I’ve always wanted to do a large event to help our community and the canned food drive was the perfect way to involve everyone.
SDA: Why did you decide to be involved in SDA?
CP: It focuses on community nutrition and promoting wellness. Those are two things I’ve always enjoyed and want to do more of. It’s also a good way to meet new people!
