because I had already beaten him. Arslan gave me trouble. I'll be honest, I didn't expect it. I underestimated him and only trained for three weeks for that fight. That's why I will give him a rematch, he earned it. Afolabi, however, has to be first because he is mandatory. That fight is 80% done for March."
What bout his future plans, we ask. Will he remain at Cruiserweight for the forseeable future, or move up to take on the big boys?
"I would like to move to Heavyweight. I beat them all at Cruiserweight. Yes, I have two losses but in the first loss (to Steve Cunningham), I broke my hand in the fifth round. I also have big trouble [making the Cruiserweight limit of 200lbs] and walk around at 98kilos/ 216lbs."
Can a Klitschko fight happen?
"I doubt it. My team offered them five million euros. We wanted the fight at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. 80,000 people in attendance. It would be a spectacle but they know they would get beaten. The height difference wouldn't be a problem because I spar with people who are 210 centimetres tall so I know how to fight them.
Which brother does he prefer? Wladimir or Vitali?
"Vitali," He says while laughing. "The younger one has been knocked out several times already. Older one has never tasted the floor. So it would be a bigger challenge for me.
What about David Haye? Huck laughs before he answers. "I ask him for a fight even now. I say to him 'When will you face me? 'Lets fight', but he just smiles and changes the subject. He is a good lad but I know I would beat him.
What about potential fights with Steve Cunningham, Denis Lebedev and Yoan Pablo Hernandez?
"I wanted the Cunningham rematch for a long time but not now. Everyone will just say I beat an old man. Me and Yoan have the same coach and we are very good friends so I think that one is very unlikely. If I don't move to Heavyweight then a rematch with Lebedev will happen. I would like to take his belt.
"I want Povetkin, though. I want to settle that once and for all."
What does he think about the accusations of him being crude and lacking skills?
"My brother reads the websites and tells me
how everyone thinks I don't know how to box. I became a Champion and defended my title ten times. That means I have to know just a little bit about boxing, right?"
He again laughs as he finishes his sentence. He will always have his critics, it seems, but it's hard to argue the facts. He has been a World Champion for three years now and there are many fans who believe he should hold the WBA Heavyweight title after the close fight with Povetkin.
The conversation moves onto his trainer Ulli Wegner, one of the most respect trainers in the world.
"He tries to get me in order. I try and follow the plan but I want to give the fans something to remember. Ulli is the best German trainer. (We interrupt and mention Fritz Sdunek, the trainer of Vitali Klitschko) "And Sdunek, yes. Best in Germany and perhaps in the whole of Europe.
"Ulli always tells me that he will lose whatever little hair he has because of me. But what can I do? People in Germany either love me or hate me, but I will always want to give my all in the ring. The people saying I can't box don't realise that I know my opponents, and I can withstand their style. It's them who cannot withstand me.
"I love Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr," he says when asked about his favourite fighters. And before we have the chance to ask the obvious question, "And no, before you ask. Their fight will never happen."
