-Do you cry often?
-No, actually that’ s kind of weird because I cry probably like twice a year. It is really weird, I been wondering why that happens actually. So, because when I was younger I cried a lot, I mean not all the time, I guess I’ m like my mom because my mom doesn’ t cry very much, my dad cries much more than my mom actually, so I take after her, I suppose. It is weird because sometimes I want to cry and the tears don’ t come out, so that’ s kind of frustrating, when you have this nut in your throat. I very rarely cry, very rarely.
-Why do you cry for?
-When I cry it’ s because of pain, and usually because of love, yeah, because of a broken heart.
-Have you loved someone with all your heart?
-Yes of course, I’ m very intense, so when I love someone it is with everything.
-Have you hated someone with all your heart?
-No, no I’ m not really … it’ s weird I’ m very intense to love, but I’ m not the kind of person who hates, I’ m not revengeful, it’ s not in my nature to be like that. What I do is to get very angry at moments, because I’ m kind of explosive.

-Have you made wrong decisions in your life?
-Of course, like everybody else, but not one that I really regret, thanks God, like I haven’ t made any mayor mistakes, you know. No, not really. Most of the important decisions in my life have been very good, I’ m the kind of person who makes like pro and con lists, so I really take the time to think things over so when I make a decision I’ m pretty sure that’ s what I want to do. I’ m impulsive in other things like small things. Yes of course I regret some decisions but they are not mayor decisions so I don’ t have big regrets in life.
growth?
-So, do you consider them as steps in your internal
-Learning, you learn from all the mistakes. You learn like Alanis Morissette’ s song. I totally believe in what she says in that song. All the mistakes help you learn. Ok, to give you an example when I was doing my masters program I was under a lot of stress and then I got sick because I was so tired. It was very intense here, I was recording my album, the one that I told you about, I was finishing my masters degree program, I was teaching a lot of hours, I was doing something else and then I got sick, so because I was so busy and so stressed out, and I was so worried about everything, because women in general tend to worry too much, so it was so much that I got sick and then I got a clot and I had to be in bed for a whole month with my leg up, it wasn’ t very nice and it was very painful too, ah that was another time when I really cried because of pain, it was a terrible pain, but again I’ m pretty tough, and then I learnt from that not to worry, so now for example that is something that I learnt in time to really live the day, do as much as I can that day and then relax and when I’ m at home I relax, I have fun with my family, my niece and my nephew, so I tried to learn from everything that I think I made wrong, or for example, this year we have to apply to 2 grants, money to do research, I didn’ t get any of the grants so instead of being like“ ohhh, how terrible”, no, ok I have to learn from my mistakes, what did I do wrong, and then next time I will correct it.
-Is there any wish that you have not come true yet?
-Absolutely, there are many wishes, for example, I’ d love to find someone to share my life with. That’ s something. I’ d love to travel again, because I haven’ t travel abroad in a while. I’ d love to write a book one day, something about linguistics maybe. Those are the three things.
-If you could have a super power what would it be?
-Invisibility, I’ d love to be invisible to sneaking places and see things.
-For what do you want to be remembered?
-In terms of my family I would like to be remembered as someone who was very loving, a loving daughter, a loving aunt, a loving sister. And in the case of my students I would like to be remembered as someone who cared about teaching and someone who had a positive influence on them. In the case of my friends I would like to be remembered as a loyal friend. Someone they could always count on.
-If you could live a message for the humankind what would it be?
-It would be to really prioritize human contact; to really take the time to bond with people, to create deep relationships with people. I think that would be a message that I think it’ s important, because today people are so focused on technology, money, fame. So I guess that would be my message; take the time; invest time in your relationships.
