FROM THE PRESIDENT’ S DESK
CHIEF ANDREW CAGGIANO MONTVILLE PD
The New Jersey Police Chief Magazine | December 2025
This year is coming to a close, and we will be welcoming in 2026 very soon. The Board has been working hard on several initiatives, and they will continue into the new year. As I reflect on the 1st half of my term we have made progress, but there is more work to be done. The Board is focused on the issues at hand, and I am fortunate to have such a strong group of law enforcement leaders to work alongside.
The new legislative session will begin after the new year and our Legislative and Public Policy Committee stands ready to move forward to inform and work with our legislators. The Public Relations Committee continues to meet and inform the public on issues that we face in law enforcement.
The Winter 1-Day Conference was well attended and again we had some of our long-term private sector partners there supporting our Chiefs. I hope all who attended received value in the training and networking with our private sector partners.
Finally, I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope the holiday season is a time to spend with family and friends.
This holiday season, we honor the commitment of New Jersey’ s law enforcement leaders who work tirelessly to protect and strengthen our communities. We hope that the coming year is one of renewal, collaboration, and continued excellence in leadership.
From all of us at the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, Season’ s Greetings, Merry Christmas, and best wishes for a bright, successful— and safe— New Year.
