East Brunswick Police Department

Chief Frank LoSacco

A Call for Your Support in the Upcoming NJSACOP Election
As Chief of the East Brunswick Police Department, I am proud to serve our community and lead an 86-member accredited police department in Middlesex County. Since taking office as Chief in 2019, I have been fully committed to upholding the highest standards of law enforcement, both within our agency and across the state. In addition to my role as Chief, I have the honor of serving as the President of the Middlesex County Association of Chiefs of Police, and I am an active member of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police( NJSACOP). In 2022, I stepped down from running for the 4th Vice President position to give my full support to Chief Andrew Caggiano, and I am looking forward to seeing him sworn in at our June convention. It is with great humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I ask for your support in my candidacy for 4th Vice President of the NJSACOP.
I have dedicated myself to the advancement of our profession, not only through leadership at the local level but also by continuously working to improve and strengthen our association.
Throughout my career, I have been a passionate advocate for continuing professional development, as education is key to keeping our law enforcement community equipped to meet the evolving challenges of modern policing. To that end, I have been designated as an“ Accredited Chief of Police Advanced” by the NJSACOP, and I have earned a Continuing Professional Development certificate after completing most of the professional development courses offered by NJSACOP. In 2022 I attended the Advanced Professional Practices Seminar in London, and I will be attending the Normandy Leadership Experience this April. I am a proud graduate of the NJSACOP Command & Leadership Academy, where I now proudly serve as an instructor in region four, helping shape future law enforcement leaders.
Beyond education, I am fully committed to advancing the mission of NJSACOP and ensuring that we continue to lead the charge for professional excellence across the state. I currently serve as an Accreditation Assessor for the NJSACOP Accreditation Program, where I work with departments to ensure that they meet the highest standards of operations. As Chairman of the Membership Committee, I strive to strengthen our association by engaging new members, fostering collaboration, and creating opportunities for all chiefs to network, learn, and grow together. I also serve as a member of the Traffic Safety Committee, working to address important issues that affect communities throughout the state. I am also privileged to serve as a peer support chief, collaborating closely with Dr. Lew Schlosser and President John Russo to offer support to members facing mental health challenges, as well as hosting the peer support chief training at my police training facility in East Brunswick.
While serving on the executive board, my focus will continue to be on advancing the professional development of our members, supporting law enforcement agencies in their efforts to improve, and ensuring that NJSACOP remains a leading voice in law enforcement policy, practice, and innovation. We must continue to adapt and evolve to meet the challenges of today’ s policing environment, and I am committed to helping guide that progress.
If elected, I will bring my passion for professional development, my experience as a leader, and my commitment to advancing the association to the NJSACOP Executive Board. Together, we can continue to build on the successes of our association and work toward a future where New Jersey’ s law enforcement community leads with integrity, professionalism, and excellence.
I am incredibly honored to have received the endorsements of several county chief associations, and I very humbly ask for your vote in the upcoming election. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you and the NJSACOP membership.
