The Napoleonic wars were a series of wars between France and its Satellite states and Britain and its bought allies.
In the wars France conquered land and put a puppet king there like Joseph Bonaparte who was Napoleon's brother and was made king of Naples and Spain.
At the same time Britain usually funded armies to fight Napoleon while they were safe because of their superior fleet and sea separating them from France.
The Napoleonic wars can be generally categorized into three groups.
The first one was "Napoleon wins". Napoleon with the methods of total war and mass mobilization managed to win every big battle and conquer all of central Europe, parts of Eastern Europe and Italy.
The second one is "Napoleon's forces start to run out".
His soldiers' number is getting lower and Napoleon starts to rely more on foreign levy. Napoleon is taking riskier odds and is getting beaten in Russia and proves he is not invincible. People are starting to revolt and he quickly looses.

Napoleon returns to France to recruit a new army and gets beaten in the battle of Waterloo and goes into exile for the last time.
