Isabel Greenberg

I’m a short story writer living in London. I
often take folklore and folk tales as inspiration
for my work, and my stories are published in
anthologies and journals around the world.
In fact, one of my stories won the Costa Short
Story Award 2014.

I’m an illustrator and comic artist based in
London.

This project was my first ever opportunity
to work with an illustrator and artist, so I
snapped it up immediately! It’s been really
exciting to collaborate with Isabel and see my
story brought to life in images.

It was so much fun working with Zoe, using
ideas sent in by the British public to construct
our story and inspire my illustrations.

Turning other people’s ideas into a coherent
story was an enjoyable challenge for my
imagination, and the finished book is a
delight that far exceeds what I thought we
could do in such a short time!

I’ve always been interested in working with
a writer and so this seemed like an excellent
opportunity to do something really special.

It’s brilliant to see my images alongside Zoe’s
words and I hope whoever is reading this
book enjoys it as much as we did making it!
