HOW IS THIS MOVEMENT GOING TO EFFECT THE FASHION LANDSCAPE?

For a split second, everyone thought that the growth of brick and mortar stores, big flash shopping centers and glamorous looking shops were the future for retailing, but no it has changed dramatically within the past 10 years. Now people are worrying whether in 10 years time if there will be any more high street stores at all. This is all because of the ease and convenience of shopping online and doing exactly what you can do within the store. JUST HASSLE FREE, now doesn't that sound inviting?

So just looking at what basic things that smart phones, smart watches, laptops, ipads can do, how will this affect the brick and mortar stores? Firstly, APPS! Apps are one of the biggest used engines in the world and not just talking about shopping but internet banking, food delivery, grocery delivery, credit score, chat and text and many more! For any type of retailer to keep up with this they need to get themselves an app because lets be honest, if they don't have an app, you just cant be bothered! A app linked to a shopping app can give you the freedom to browse and shop and buy items to be delivered to your front door all from the comfort of your own home. People not wanting the hassle of going out into shops full of carnage trying to get themselves the best bargain when you can do it stress free in front of the television all at a click of a button. So, in a nutshell in a light of these new technologies the retail sector is growing as well as the need for retailers to adapt to the new landscape and to embrace the new turning point for the fashion world.
