critical needs in Florida. This 2-day conference is scheduled for December
10-11 in Tallahassee.
Conference topics will include:

Building Relationships and Donor Cultivation
A recent research study indicated that only 12.5% of all nonprofits have a
written strategic plan and estimates that only 2.1% of nonprofits have a

The most important thing to me as a young person are honestly my parents. My parents are important to me
because they not only provide housing, food, and clothes for me they are also my role models and they
inspirer me to be a better person. My parents want nothing but the best for me and expect me to do my
best.
My father is always checking up on me and making sure I have everything I need. My parents are always
telling me that I can achieve anything in life, like for example; The other day I was just informed that my GPA
isn’t high enough to go off to college even though I am a junior, I came home highly upset and I told my mom
what I was told. She explained to me that I would be able to go off to college but it might not be the college
of my choice. I felt a little better but she could tell I wasn’t happy with that answer, so she told my dad what
the problem was and the next day my dad came and got me to talk to me about what had me beside myself.
So I told me the issue and he basically told me that I can get into ANY college but it will take some work and
that I need to have a plan. After we had a talk and he took me back home I was feeling much better.
My parents not only made me feel better about myself but also gave me the courage that I can do whatever I
want just as long as I strive for it. My parents are always keeping me on my toes and giving me the right
advice. My mother goes to work whether she is sick or not, she does whatever she has to do to provide for
her kids and that inspired me to do more and be a better person. I want to be able to take care of my parents
when they get older. My parents do everything for me and my brothers and sister. I love them both and my
parents are the most important thing to me as a young person.
